Leading Abroad: Summers with a Purpose
Leading with Love seeks to provide young women leaders an authentic cross-cultural experience to the Africa during Summer 2024 (June). This experience allows participants to explore and understand how interactions with individuals from different cultures benefits their development as leaders and individuals. It also provides opportunities for participants to push beyond the boundaries of their comfort zone and discover the beauty and diversity outside of their communities through service and exploration.
We are excited to share our upcoming 2024 Cultural Immersion! This impactful global service trip will provide an opportunity for several young girls from our underserved South Florida communities to travel to Africa and impact the lives of 300 young girls in the country of Tanzania through service and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics).
Our mission is to provide life-changing experiences and opportunities for growth to young girls who may not otherwise have access to such opportunities. Through our global service trip to Africa, we aim to broaden their horizons, instill a sense of cultural awareness and empathy, and inspire them to become compassionate leaders inside and outside of their communities. During this project, we will distribute 1,500 reusable sanitary napkins and hygiene supplies to more than 300 young girls in the region and lead several STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) workshops. They will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, connect with peers from diverse backgrounds, meet local District Officers, and develop leadership and teamwork skills
